This course is about learning the basics of digital visual collaboration. It includes introduction to visual thinking and practice, meeting design and facilitation and the basics of co-creating content using a digital whiteboard like MURAL.

Available for all 8 sessions

It is key to attend all live lessons and group work sessions. Missing out on one session will make it impossible to complete the summerschool. 

Fluent in
English

The course is run in English with presentations, group- and individual assignments where written English is needed. 

Professional laptop users 

Participants need to know how to use a laptop with it's standard programs for both online and offline work. This is not a course for beginners. 

Highly motivated to learn

What you need to attend

Two Devices

You can attend the training with one device, but we recommend two as this allows everyone to see each other AND collaborate in our online workspace.

Zoom

Before each session you get a secure Zoom invite with ID and password. You can sign in and get ready 15 min before each session.

MURAL

The course uses MURAL as shared visual collaboration space. No prior experience with MURAL is needed. We recommend taking some of their free online tutorials before.

Time

A total of 24 hours is needed over the course of 4 weeks: 8 x 2 hour lessons, 4 hours on demand content plus 4 hours for homework. 
The theory and method of this course is based on our book "Visual Collaboration". You can access the first chapter and tools of the book for free.

Included in the training

Peer to peer learning

Throughout the course each participant works, presents and receives feedback and coaching from the other participants . 

Certificate

After having attended all sessions and handed in the all assignments, you receive our Certificate of Completion. 

Digital Classroom

We deliver the course in a shared visual collaboration space. We have designed a classroom experience in MURAL. Included is access to various boards and tools in MURAL. 

Visual Design Tool

Gain access to a visuel set of icons with wich you can design communication tools and learning spaces of your own. 

Trainers

Bettina Gulya

Bettina is an experienced UX designer and trainer. She is based in Berlin where she on the side helps women with a refugee background develop their digital skills 

Jacob Ackey Wolf

Jacob is a designer and illustrator, with a masters in Play Design from Kolding Designskole. He can turn any idea or thought into visuals, whether it's on a stickie note or a mural.

Ole Qvist-Sørensen

Ole Qvist-Sørensen, MA, is a founder and partner at Bigger Picture, a consulting firm specializing in strategy communication and visual facilitation. He is co-author of Visual Collaboration.
